Dead Zone Test
Cover every cell. Find the spots that need a second look.
THE QUICK START
A little touch. A lot of insight.
- 01
Choose your grid
Use the default grid or choose a different density before starting.
- 02
Fill it, edge to edge
Move slowly through each cell. Only recorded contact points count toward coverage.
- 03
Revisit the gaps
Finish to highlight untouched cells. Test those spots again; an empty cell alone is not a confirmed dead zone.
GOOD TO KNOW
A few things
to know.
Quick answers. Clear expectations.
Why are some cells still empty after a swipe?
A fast swipe can skip cells between browser input samples. Move more slowly, or tap the empty cells directly. The tool does not fill the space between recorded points, because that could conceal an unresponsive area.
What grid size should I use?
Start with the default 8 × 14 grid for a quick check. A denser grid gives you smaller areas to inspect but takes longer to cover. Changing the grid starts a new coverage measurement.
Can this check every physical pixel?
No. The grid measures touch coverage across the browser test surface. It does not test display pixels, and browser or system controls may prevent access to the physical edges of your screen.
